I recently had the pleasure of spending just over an hour in one of Kansas City’s true architectural treasures, The Bloch Building, located at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Brian Bolten is a local architect whom I’ve done work for, and am honored to call a friend. You haven’t lived until you’ve toured a truly unique space with an architect. I knew I liked The Bloch Building , but besides being a fan of modern architecture, I couldn’t articulate why I was moved by this particular building. Brian brought clarity to the age old question of why spaces are designed the way they are.

With that said, sit back and enjoy an abstract look at The Bloch Building. In this particular instance, the art doesn’t start with the pieces displayed within, it truly begins with the space.
